Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said, “We are in touch with Pakistan through diplomatic routes.” We expect a fair and independent trial in keeping with the spirit of the ICJ's decision. We have asked (the Government of Pakistan) to have Jadhav put forward by the Indian lawyer.
Srivastava said, however, it is important that Pakistan needs to focus on the main issues and these key issues include providing all the necessary documents in the case as well as giving unrestricted diplomatic access to Jadhav.
