The decision will be taken after considering all the possibilities to reopen the hotel, gym and weekly markets in the national capital. A meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will be held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor. Top officials including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain and AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria are also likely to be involved.
A few days ago, the proposal to reopen Delhi's hotels and weekly markets could not be agreed in view of Kovid-19. Therefore, the meeting to be held in this regard on Tuesday is considered very important. In the earlier proposal in this regard, the Aam Aadmi Party government had said that it is right to take decision to reopen such establishments in Delhi as per the unlock guidelines of the Center.
The Delhi government had argued that the situation is worsening due to increasing cases of Kovid-19 infection in many states. But LG had asked why people are being prevented from earning their livelihood if the cases of corono virus are declining in Delhi. On Monday, 787 new cases were reported in Delhi while 18 people died.
