The department has issued a 'rate alert' of extremely heavy rains in Ajmer, Sirohi, Jalore, Pali and Jodhpur districts of the state in the next 24 hours. Similarly, 'Orange Alert' for heavy rains has been issued in many districts.

Jaipur Meteorological Center Director RS Sharma said that a cyclonic circulation is over East Rajasthan. He said that from morning to evening on Friday, 132 mm of rainfall was recorded in Jaipur and 102.6 mm in the airport.
Three died due to jeep flow

District Magistrate of Jaipur Antar Singh Nehra said that 50 families have been evacuated from the Kachchi township of Jawahar Nagar affected by waterlogging due to heavy rains in the area around Jaipur.
