The Union Home Ministry has announced the gallantry awards to be given to police officers on the occasion of Independence Day. The ministry has also released the list of winners. Accordingly, a total of 215 personnel have been selected for the Police Medal for gallantry. 80 people have been selected for the President's Medal for Special Services. At the same time, 631 people have been selected for medals for meritorious services.
