The Mumbai Police is facing allegations of continued laxity in the Sushant Singh suicide case. The Mumbai Police questioned Sushant Singh and related Bollywood people. But could not reach any conclusion. Bihar police also did not cooperate in the investigation of this case.
After the non-cooperation of the Mumbai Police, the Bihar government recommended a CBI inquiry. At the same time, the police were also accused of political pressure. Now the Mumbai Police is not even cooperating in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation. It is being said that the ED is not providing the evidence or documents it wants from the Mumbai Police.
According to media reports, the ED demanded Sushant's mobile phone four times, but the Mumbai police did not hand over Sushant's phone to the ED. The ED had lodged an FIR 14 days ago on July 31 in the case of misappropriation and money laundering of Sushant's bank accounts.
However, ED officials are yet to ascertain where the Rs 15 crore from Sushant's account went, as alleged by the actor's father KK Singh. According to sources, ED investigation has not yet revealed how many rupees went directly from Sushant's account to his fiancé Riya Chakraborty.
Because ED has not received information about direct transfer from Sushant's account to Riya's account. However, the transactions of net banking and debit cards from several accounts of Sushant are under investigation. A source associated with the ED said that mapping this withdrawal would help in finding out where the money went and what was the motive behind it.
Why kept Sushant's mobile phone with him for 24 days: BJP spokesperson
Meanwhile, state BJP spokesperson and MLA Ram Kadam on Friday said that the Maharashtra government is tampering with the evidence in the actor Sushant Singh case. Kadam said that instead of sending Sushant's mobile phone to the forensic department, why did the police keep it with him for 24 days.
The BJP MLA said that due to this attitude of Maharashtra government, the whole country including Sushant's family is unable to believe. Ram Kadam said that now the Government of Maharashtra should quit stubbornly and hand over the investigation to the CBI.
