Former Vice President Joe Biden will challenge Republican presidential candidate and current President Donald Trump in the US presidential elections. The nomination of the presidential candidate by the Democratic Party in his political career of three decades is the biggest achievement for Biden.
Biden tweeted, “It is an honor of my life to accept the Democratic Party nomination for the President of the United States.” During the state primaries and caucuses, Biden had the support of 2,687 delegates, twice the support his close rival Bernie Sanders received. Sanders was joined by 1,073 delegates.
