On both lines, there are nine interchanges out of 96 (58 on Blue, Pink-38) stations within a radius of 123 km. At all interchanges, the metro will stop about 30 seconds more than before. In two shifts from 7 am to 11 am and four to eight in the evening, after 171 days, passengers on the Blue Line (Dwarka Sector-21 to Electronic City, Noida / Vaishali) and the Pink Line (Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar) were in the metro. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the blue line was trialled throughout the day, so that passengers would not face any trouble when the services started. With the introduction of metro services on two more lines on Wednesday, the number of passengers is expected to increase. With this, passengers will also start getting services at nine of the 28 interchange stations of Delhi Metro.
Metro will run on 10 to three lines
According to DMRC, Metro services will be started on three more lines from September 10. Under this, the metro will run between Red Line (Rithala-Shaheed Sthal, New Bus Terminal, Ghaziabad), Kirti Nagar / Inderlok on Green Line, Brig Hoshiar Singh (Bahadurgarh), while Kashmiri Gate to Raja Nahar Singh on Violet Line. After this, services will be started on Magenta, Gray and Airport Express Line.
The reopening of these two lines will ensure availability of nine of the existing 28 interchange metro stations. Passengers will be able to interchange these lines at Rajouri Garden, Delhi Haat INA, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Karkardooma, Rajiv Chowk, Yamuna Bank, ISBT Anand Vihar, Azadpur and Sikanderpur stations.
