The army has operational command of 744 km long LoC but BSF is deployed to assist the army. DIG Rajouri ID Singh and field commanders of LOC were informed to DG about operational preparedness and situation. Appreciating the measures adopted by the troops while maintaining supremacy, the Director General emphasized on meeting the security challenges more effectively.

Given the excellent synergy between all the security forces, the Director General asked all ranks to maintain high levels of discipline and professionalism. He also addressed the military conference at BSF Paloura Camp in Jammu. During this, he said that Pakistan and China are planning against India. In such a situation, the role of BSF has become very important for the security of borders.
The spokesperson quoted the DG as saying, “This is a very important time for all, as both our neighbors are planning against us.” So our role has become more important now because we are the first line of Indian defense. ”He appreciated the BSF jawans who guard the border of the country round the clock even in odd circumstances.
