The JDU president raised the issue of Aishwarya Rai, his wife and daughter of former minister Chandrika Rai, who is separated from Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD president Lalu Prasad. Explain that the matter is under consideration in a Patna court on the couple's dispute between Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya.
Nitish also referred to Jayawardhan Yadav, grandson of former Union Minister Ramlakhan Singh Yadav. Chandrika Rai and Jayawardhan Yadav, both from the Yadav community, are RJD MLAs and have recently joined the JDU.
Nitish Kumar was addressing a digital rally of JDU called 'Nishcha Samvad'. It was broadcast live through the JDU party channel from Karpoori Thakur Auditorium located at the party office here. The rally was also broadcast on Facebook, Twitter and TV channels.
Nitish said, “I want to ask what happened to Chandrika Rai, son of former Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai and his daughter Aishwarya Rai. How was Aishwarya Rai treated? '
Taking a dig at RJD president Lalu Prasad and his family, he said, “She (Aishwarya) has read.” People talk about education and see what happened to educated people. It is a family affair, on which I do not want to say anything. '
The Chief Minister said that there has been development everywhere in the state during the 15-year rule of the NDA. During this period, there have been appreciable changes in the areas of law and order, education, health, roads, energy, agriculture etc.
He also talked about prohibition of liquor in Bihar and made it clear that it will be banned as long as he is in power. Nitish referred to the figures of the Central Government for 2018, in which the law and order situation in Bihar is better than many other states.
He said that according to the latest report of the Central Government, Bihar ranks 23rd in the country in all types of crime, while it is 33rd in rape cases and 29th in crimes against women.
