Jammu and Kashmir: Three terrorists neutralized in encounter with security forces in Batamaloo area of Srinagar
Officials said that after getting information about the presence of the militants, security forces started a siege operation in Firdausabad area of Batmalu at around 2.30 pm. He said the militants opened fire on the security forces after which the search operation turned into an encounter.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a gang of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist organization. Police said that it had received information that an organization of three youths from Kashmir was in touch with a Pakistani terrorist.
The three youths of the organization were identified as Arshid Ahmed Khan, resident of Gutli Bagh, Majid Rasul, resident of Ganderbal and Mohammad Asif Nazar. All three were in contact with Pakistani terrorist Fayaz Khan. He used to direct them to carry out terrorist activities in the area.
The operation was carried out by a joint team of Ganderbal police and 5RR. After the arrest, the trio were interrogated, in which arms and electric equipment were recovered at their spot.
His organization was instructed by the Pakistani boss to attack security forces in the vicinity. A case has been registered against the trio at Ganderbal police station.
Ganderbal SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal, while giving information about the entire operation, said that by marking the youth of the valley, terrorists sitting across the border keep trying to join their organizations.
They are contacted through various social media platforms and the guardians of the youth do not even know about it. He said that the police is conducting a thorough investigation in this regard.
