- Defense Minister's statement in Parliament, told the House about China's deception
- Said, the soldiers in Galvan showed valor with restraint as per the need
Rajnath Singh told the House about each deception of China. He said that the number of troops from China along the eastern Ladakh border had been increased since April and in May, China disrupted the traditional and normal patrolling of Indian troops in the Galvan Valley, leading to a conflict situation.
Here the Indian Army gave full response to China. He said, on June 15, our brave soldiers in Galvan kept sobriety where there was a need for restraint and showed valor where valor was needed. After going among the brave soldiers of PM, there is a message in our commanders and soldiers that 130 crore countrymen are with the soldiers of the country.
Mentioned the misdeeds of China and Pakistan at the border
China has unauthorized occupation of approximately 38,000 sq km of land in Ladakh. In 1963, under a so-called border agreement, Pakistan illegally gave 5180 sq km of Indian land of PoK to China. Both India and China have formally recognized that the boundary question is a complex issue that requires patience to resolve and a clear, logical and agreed solution to the issue can be found through peaceful negotiations.
As of now, there is usually no demarcation of LAC in the Indo-China border areas and the two understandings about LAC are also different. Therefore, there are several agreements and protocols between the two countries to maintain peace and harmony.
Even on the night of 29-30 August, provocation of the provocation, the soldiers failed
Rajnath said, on the night of 29 and 30 August, provocative military action was taken by China, which was an attempt to change the status quo in the southern area of Pangong Lake. However, once again due to timely action by our army, these efforts were not successful. It is clear that this action of China is a neglect of our various bilateral agreements.
Trust given to the House, will face every challenge with success
Rajnath said, the House needs to be assured that our armed forces will face this challenge successfully and they are proud of it. The situation that exists now involves sensitive action issues, so I do not want to reveal more details about this.
I met my Chinese counterpart in Moscow on 4 September and we had an in-depth discussion. I clearly put our concerns before the Chinese side. I also made it clear that we want to resolve this issue in a peaceful manner and we want the Chinese side to work together with us. We also made it clear that we are fully committed to protecting India's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
