Jaishankar will remind the Chinese Foreign Minister to keep a minimum number of troops on the 3488 km long LAC and implement bilateral agreements between the two countries. Jaishankar may demand that the Chinese army restore the former position at Gogra-Hot Springs and also retreat from the northern shores of Pangong Tso Lake.
According to sources, Jaishankar will arrive in Moscow on Tuesday along with officials of the China desk of the Foreign Ministry to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting. On the very next day, on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is also arriving.
The much-awaited meeting of Foreign Ministers may emphasize adherence to bilateral agreements and protocols since 1993. It is believed that the two leaders are likely to take some major decisions on the tension in Ladakh during this bilateral dialogue.
Earlier, on the sio's meeting of defense ministers, the Chinese defense minister Wei Fenghe had called on the defense minister Rajnath Singh by request.
