The program of inauguration-foundation by the Central and State Government is going on before the Assembly elections in Bihar. Meanwhile, an under-construction bridge in Kishanganj district has sunk. This matter is of Patharghatti Panchayat of Dighalbank Block.
The bridge, constructed at a cost of about Rs 1.42 million, collapsed near Guwaabari of Pattharghatti panchayat of Dighalbank block. Even before the inauguration, a pillar of the bridge is completely sunk. Due to the collapse of the bridge, the wait for the population of thousands of adjoining villages including Guwaabari, which has been adorned with this route to the main stream, has increased once again.
Rural Jamil Akhtar while expressing his pain said that if the attention of the administration and public representatives in time goes to this, today this threat will not be seen on more than half a dozen villages of Pattharghatti Panchayat, nor face such new problems everyday. We have to do it. It is worth noting that the Kanakai river has caused the most damage in the Dighalbank block to the Pattaghatti Panchayat for the last nearly a decade.
Ramanand Yadav, Junior Engineer, Rural Development Department, said about the bridge under construction near Guwaibadi on Tuesday night, 'When the construction work started, there was a light stream of Kanakai river and the bridge was built accordingly. Was going, but suddenly this time the attitude of the river changed. When the water spread over thousands of acres, only a few meters long bridge begins to freeze, then this kind of untoward cannot be ruled out.
