Lyricist Abhilash, who wrote songs like 'So Shakti Hum Dena Daata' (Ankush), has died in Mumbai. According to reports, he breathed his last on Monday morning. Abhilash was battling liver cancer and was in bed for the last 10 months. He was to have a liver transplant. But this could not happen due to the financial constraints.

Apart from this, he has also been given credits for the dialogues of 'Jai Jagannath' (2007) and the additional story of 'Jeet hai shaan se' (1988).
