In the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it was decided that testing, tracing and treatment facilities will be strengthened in rural areas of the capital.
According to sources, the facility of testing on demand and a helpline number will be released soon. Any person will be able to take advantage of the convenience of checking at his home by booking a test by calling this number.
In the first phase, the benefit of testing on demand facility will be given to the elderly, women and children. According to sources, in the meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the Governor asked the officials to complete the formalities and formulate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). At the same time, through this helpline number, people will be able to book for the test at the nearest test center.
These people will be given a fixed time so that they do not have to be in line. In the past, there has been a sudden rise in corona cases in the capital and the authorities believe that the infection can be controlled only by more investigation and source detection strategy.
During the meeting, the Lt. Governor also directed to set up an investigation facility on the borders of Delhi so that people with signs of infection can be examined. It will be mandatory for all migrant laborers coming to the capital to get their corona check done. Those who come to work in NCR from Delhi can get their investigation done if they want. Apart from this, the facility of investigation will be provided at the interstate bus bases where the migrant laborers will be able to conduct their investigation.
The Lieutenant Governor later said in a tweet that in the changed circumstances it is extremely important to strengthen the facility of testing, tracing and treatment. During this time special attention needs to be paid to hot spots, content zones and rural areas. Last week itself, the Delhi government had announced that corona checks of 20 thousand to 40 thousand people should be done daily.
