President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the conference on National Education Policy starting today through video conferencing. The conference is being organized to discuss the role of National Education Policy (NEP) -2020 in changing the Higher Education System.
The conference organized by the Ministry of Education will include Education Ministers of all states, Vice Chancellors of Universities and Senior Officers. After the announcement of the new education policy, many havens, virtual conferences and conclaves have been organized across the country.
Focus on knowledge in new policy
The government announced a new education policy in July. Education policy has been changed after 34 years. The new policy has brought about major changes regarding school education and higher education. In all schools, children up to class V will now be taught in mother tongue or regional language. The new policy has focused on making the country a global superpower with a focus on knowledge.
