India has also contributed in international trials
Dr. Bhargava said that India has also contributed to a random trial on 464 patients in 39 hospitals in 25 districts of 14 states and union territories internationally. It has been found that the drugs used in trials have not reduced mortality and do not prevent the disease from becoming moderate to severe.
He said that this thing is being reviewed right now. Once the review is complete and we receive the full publication, the data will once again be considered by the National Task Force and the Joint Monitoring Group of the Ministry of Health. It will then be decided whether we will continue it or not.
Infection situation not very serious in the country: ICMR
