Rajpa has demanded the Supreme Court in Yachika to direct the Election Commission to conduct Bihar elections in March next year. Explain that the assembly elections in Bihar can be held in the month of October-November this year. The Nationalist Janata Party has filed this petition through its president Anil Bharti.
In the petition, along with the Election Commission, the Union Home Ministry, the state government and the State Election Commission have been made defendants. According to the petition, a report was given to the Election Commission on June 30 to postpone the elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly but no decision has been taken on it yet.
The Supreme Court had earlier dismissed another public interest litigation seeking a similar election adjournment on August 28. In this petition, the Supreme Court had said that before taking any decision regarding the election, the Election Commission will consider all the circumstances.
