Central Public Works Department opens financial bids for the construction of new Parliament building. Tata Projects Ltd has submitted a bid of Rs.861.90 crores and Larsen and Toubro Ltd has submitted a bid of Rs.865 crores: Sources

Explain that initially seven companies had bid for the central government project to win the contract. However, later three companies were selected by the Central Public Works Department for the last phase.
It is worth noting that this new building of Parliament will be built on plot number 18 of Parliament House. The building will be constructed under the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. It will now be built by the Tata group. According to reports, it will be prepared on the occasion of completing 75 years of India's independence in 2022.
