Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy gave this information in the Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question by AKP Chinraj and S Jagatarakshakan. He said that Jammu and Kashmir had been affected by cross-border sponsored and supported terrorism for more than three decades.
Reddy said that the government has adopted a policy of not tolerating terrorism at all. As a result, 138 militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir from March 1 to August 31 this year. During this period, 50 security personnel were also killed in cross-border firing.
