The BJP president said, keeping in mind the benefits of farmers, three bills have been brought in the Parliament. This includes the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, the Farmers Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance and the Pricing Ordinance on the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement.
Nadda said that the three agricultural ordinances would greatly benefit the farmers. These three ordinances are very far-sighted. So, we are bringing them in the form of a bill in Parliament and we are going to pass it. He said that these bills will increase investment in agriculture.
Attacking the Congress, the BJP president said that earlier these bills were being supported by the Congress party, but now politics is being done on it. There is only one function of the Congress party and that is lying.
He said that the Congress is opposing them and affecting the development of farmers. Today the Congress party is opposing these bills. This is the double face of the Congress party, their job is to do politics in everything. Congress knows nothing but politics.
Giving information about these Bills, Nadda said that the essential item is of the 1955 Bill. During that time the yield used to be very low, which has now increased a lot. Therefore, while amending this bill, the status of exception has been taken into consideration. Now private sector will also be able to invest in it.
He said that through the Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance of farmers, farmers have been provided facility to sell their produce. After this, farmers will be able to sell grains outside the market. Through this bill, this information will also be given at what place the price is going and what will be the cost in future.
The BJP president said that the Kisan (Empowerment and Protection) Convention Bill is based on contract farming. This bill is necessary because not everyone in the country does farming, so an agreement will be reached through it. If the contract cultivator makes any investment on the land, then in such a situation, the landowner will still own the land.
