The age of these two girls is 14 and 16 years. The family reported that the two girls went out with some local youth on September 4. The brothers of the girls told that we felt that both of them had gone out like this, although after returning for two days, she returned on September 6.
Both sisters were feeling unwell, so both of them were taken to a local hospital. After which he was referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Brother told that in the hospital my sister told that five boys had gang-raped her and somehow she escaped from there and reached home.
Brother told that after this we came to know that both of them had consumed poison after returning home, after which their health deteriorated. Officials said the elder sister died on Monday night and the younger sister's condition remains critical. Police said that they have arrested three people in this case and search is on for the other two.
As soon as the elder sister's body arrived in the village on Tuesday morning, the local people started demonstrating. Let me tell you that last month, a 16-year-old girl was also gang-raped in the same area. According to officials, the body of the girl was found in a septic tank of a house.
Locals have accused the police of not yet arresting the main accused, although district police officials have denied these charges. Local MLA from Trinamool Congress Khageswar Rai met the girl's father and assured him of taking strict action.
The police have registered cases against the accused such as rape and abetment to suicide.
