Truck driver burnt alive in Sarokhanpur village of Badlapur police station area of Jaunpur district. According to the information, the incident was carried out due to non-payment of finance company dues. The injured driver is in critical condition, referred him to the district hospital.
Satyaprakash Rai (51), a village of Pedra in Saraimar Kotwali area of Azamgarh district, owns the truck. He drives the truck himself. He was on his way to Azamgarh from Rewa (Madhya Pradesh) loaded with a ballast on a truck with his son Shyamanand Rai. Reached Badlapur at around 11 am on Wednesday.
The driver's son Shyamanand Rai alleges that his father set fire to his father by spraying petrol. Due to which he started burning. On hearing the noise, the locals put out blankets and extinguished the fire.
Station head Santosh Rai said that according to villagers, the truck driver had set the fire on himself by spraying diesel during finances with financiers.
