A car bomb went off in Afghanistan's abject state Sunday morning. Local people gathered around the wreckage after the blast.
A car exploded on Sunday in Feroz Koh, capital of Afghanistan's abject state. This caused damage to the surrounding buildings. According to government officials, it was a suicide attack. The blast killed 16 people and injured more than 90 people.
Tariq Aran, spokesperson of the country's home ministry, said – The blast took place near the entrance gate of Ghor's Police Chief Office. There are also other government offices here. The work of evacuating those trapped in the debris of the collapsed houses is going on. The condition of most of the injured is critical. In such a situation, the number of people killed can increase.
No organization claimed responsibility for the attack
Terrorist organizations often carry out Taliban attacks in the state. However, no terrorist organization has yet claimed responsibility for the incident. This comes at a time when peace talks between Afghanistan and the Taliban are going on. Afghan government officials met Taliban representatives for the last time in Qatar. On Friday, the Taliban assured not to carry out attacks in the southern region of Afghanistan.
