Emphasis on improving air quality
Javadekar said that the area of air is very large which includes parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh. The minister said that the same approach will be adopted in 100 other cities of India to improve air quality in the next three-four years.
Help in reducing e-vehicle pollution
Javadekar said that e-vehicles are becoming popular and two lakh e-vehicles are currently being used in India and about 70,000 of them are subsidized by the government. He said that I use the e-vehicle myself. E-car is economical and one can travel one kilometer for 70-80 paise.
