Her family members staged a protest at Kargil Chowk in Patna on 15 November.

A 20-year-old girl was burnt alive by the villagers of the village for opposing molestation in Vaishali district. The incident took place in Rasulpur Habib of Desari police station. Some boys in the village set the girl ablaze by putting kerosene on her after a dispute over molestation. The victim was undergoing treatment at PMCH in Patna, where she died 15 days later.

The girl's family alleges that when they complained of molesting the family of the accused, the overbearing boy along with two of his accomplices caught him from the house and burnt him alive. On Monday, 15 days after the incident, he succumbed at the PMCH hospital in Patna. On Tuesday, the main accused Chandan Rai has been arrested by the police.
