SSP Sandeep Garg and SP Manpreet Singh Dhillon said that the police had received secret information that smugglers were coming in a car to supply heroin in Shahkot area. Following this information, a police team was formed and four people riding in the car were detained.

Ranjit Singh had formed a gang for smuggling and ordered a consignment of heroin from Pakistan. Out of this, 9 kg of heroin had already been sold and 11 kg was in the process of being sold. Before this, the police got a clue.
Apart from this, accused Sanjeet works in HDB Finance and became part of the smuggler gang in the greed to earn money. A cash of Rs 11 lakh 25 thousand was also recovered from the gang members, which was collected by selling a part of the consignment of heroin.
SP Manpreet Singh says how the consignment of heroin reached Pakistan from Punjab. Which routes and routes were used in it. This is the subject of investigation. SSP Sandeep says that citations will be given to those police personnel who have broken the smuggling network.
