Mehbooba Mufti, in response to Amit Shah's tweet, tweeted that no matter how many alliances the BJP may form for the power hungry, if we somehow form a united front, we are challenging the national interest. Mehbooba also alleged that the BJP flaunts the Constitution every day.
At the same time, Omar Abdullah has said that Amit Shah, we are not a gang but a political alliance which has been and will continue to fight against your hopes.
What did Mehbooba say
After several tweets of Shah, Mehbooba Mufti also retaliated by tweeting many. Mehbooba Mufti wrote, The BJP's idea of showing internal and imaginary enemies to the opposition by splitting into India and defending itself as a protector is now outdated. Love jihad, dismembered and now clandestine gangs will be a part of political debate, while the issue of discussion should be unemployment and inflation.
Mehbooba further wrote that now contesting elections in coalition has also become treason. The BJP can do any number of alliances for power hunger but if we are doing coalitions then it is against the national interest.
Mehbooba wrote in the third tweet that this is the old habit of the BJP. Earlier the BJP used to say that the dismembered gang is a threat to the integrity of the country and now they have started calling it a national traitor on the Gupta alliance. Ironically, it is the BJP that keeps violating the constitution day and night.
What did Omar and Amit Shah say
In the next tweet, Omar wrote, only leaders in Jammu and Kashmir can be detained and called traitors for participating in elections and defending democratic values. The truth is that anyone who does not agree with the BJP's ideology is called corrupt and a traitor.
Omar also said that I can understand the anger behind the attack of the venerable Home Minister. He was told that a coalition of people is preparing to boycott the election. This would have helped the BJP to easily contest elections in Jammu and Kashmir but we did not allow this to happen.
