On 11 August, violence took place in the Deora Jeevanhalli and Kadugondanahalli areas of Bangalore, killing 4 people. The angry mob set fire to the Devra Jeevanhalli and Kadugondanahalli stations and damaged government and private properties. Apart from this, people in the crowd also set fire to the house of Congress MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy.
These are the allegations on Sampat Raj
A non-bailable warrant was issued a few days ago against former mayor Sampat Raj and a 400-page preliminary charge sheet was filed against him in DJ Halli. According to the chargesheet, Sampat Raj is accused of inciting a violent mob to set fire to the house of Congress MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy of Pulakeshi Nagar. In addition, he is accused of plotting to target Bangalore violence, MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy and his sister Jayanti.
Corona escaped during treatment
Sampat Raj was hospitalized after being infected with the corona virus, but he escaped while undergoing treatment in a private hospital. The police recently arrested an aide from Sampat Raj, after which he was arrested. However, the police did not provide detailed information about the arrest.
What is the whole matter
Let us know that a relative of Congress MLA R Akhand Srinivas Murthy had posted an allegedly inflammatory post on Facebook, following which violence erupted in Bengaluru on August 11, killing 4 people. The Bangalore police had registered 65 cases and arrested over 350 people in the case.
