The Congress Legislature Party met in Patna on Friday after the Bihar Assembly election results. In this meeting held at the party headquarters Sadaqat Ashram, Congress MLA Ajit Sharma from Bhagalpur has been elected as the leader of the legislative party and Aafak Alam as the deputy leader. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced his name.

Apart from these two names, Rajesh Kumar Ram was made the chief whip while Chhatrapati Yadav and Pratima Kumari Das were given the responsibility of sub-whip. MLA Anand Shankar was made the treasurer of the legislature party.
