For the Legislative Council graduate constituency, 14 have been nominated for Patna seat, 12 at Tirhut, 17 at Kosi seat and 17 at Darbhanga. While 8 candidates from Patna, 16 from Darbhanga, 10 from Tirhut and 12 from Saran are in the fray for the teacher constituency. Due to the election of postal ballot, counting may take a long time.
NK Yadav of BJP from Kosi graduate is in the fray. In the remaining seats, JDU candidates are trying their luck. Teachers are contesting from Kota's Patna seat in BJP's Naval Kishore, Suresh Rai from Darbhanga, Narendra Singh from Tirhut and Moon Singh from Saran. From Darbhanga, Bihar state president of Congress Madan Mohan Jha is trying his luck in the electoral battle.
Apart from this, JDU's Neeraj Kumar faces Patna's Azad Gandhi from Patna Graduation seat. BJP's Narendra Prasad Singh of Tirhut faces Dhananjay Kumar Singh of RJD. A total of 17 candidates, including one each from BJP, NCP, Congress and RJD are in the fray in the Kosi graduate constituency.
A total of eight candidates, including one each from BJP, RJD and CPI are in the fray for Patna teacher election. Similarly, a total of 12 candidates are in the fray including one each from BJP and CPI in Saran Teachers Constituency. A total of 10 candidates, including one each from BJP and CPI, are trying their luck in Tirhut Teachers Constituency.
