Rajkumar Singh of LJP wins from Matihani assembly seat
From the Matihani seat of Begusarai where LJP won, LJP candidate Rajkumar Singh defeated his nearest rival and JDU candidate Narendra Kumar Singh alias Bogo Singh. However, according to Election Commission data, Rajkumar Singh defeated the JDU candidate by a mere 333 votes.

LJP's victory in Matihani has saved its political credibility to some extent. If the party had lost the election from here also, its waste in the state would have been cleared. However, exit polls also indicated that LJP is not going to get many seats in the state.

LJP candidates have received more votes than JDU candidates in many seats.
The LJP fielded its candidates in the Bhagalpur seat, which the BJP had to pay for the loss. LJP is believed to be the reason for Tejashwi's victory in Raghopur.
