The government has suspended DIG Anant Dev, former SSP of Kanpur, after receiving the report of SIT in Bikaru scandal. At the same time, the then SSP Dinesh P who is currently posted in Jhansi has also sent a notice. The SIT had severely commented on Anant Dev and recommended action from the regime. In this case, some more officers may be processed soon.

According to sources, the SIT in its investigation found strong evidence of a nexus between Anant Dev and Vikas Dubey. Anant Dev did not take any action against the SO of Choubepur despite constant complaints by CO Devendra Mishra. Apart from this, Anant Dev's connection was also found in the illegal assets acquired by Vikas.

The SIT had found in its investigation that Anant Dev had been the SSP of Kanpur Nagar for almost two years. During this, the police had a soft stand against Vikas Dubey and his operatives. In many cases, the police acted to save Vikas Dubey from his action.

The SIT had recommended action on the basis of evidence found against Anant Dev. Apart from Vikas Dubey, Jai Vajpayee and Anant Dev Kerishtas of Vikas Dubey's right hand were also mentioned in the report which also mentions money transactions. The SIT, in its 3200-page report, found more than 75 police personnel and administration people guilty and recommended action against them.

Apart from Anant Dev, action has also been recommended against Dinesh Kumar P., who was SSP Kanpur Nagar. The government has sought an explanation from Dinesh P. on the facts found by the SIT. At the same time departmental action was recommended against Additional Superintendent of Police, Pradyuman Singh, which has been approved by the government.

CBCID to investigate the issue of issuing licenses
At the same time, the government has handed over the investigation into the issue of issuing licenses of realities to Vikas Dubey and his operatives to CBCID. In this case, the role of three clerks was found who had played an important role in issuing licenses, accepting applications based on fake documents.

The SIT has reported in its report that 15 relatives and close relatives of Vikas Dubey were issued licenses based on fake documents. The investigation of the case has been handed over to the CBCID and an FIR has also been lodged in Kanpur against the clerks whose role was found.
