A mountain of sorrows has broken at the house of BJP MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi from Prayagraj Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh. His six-year-old granddaughter, Kia, was badly burned while lighting firecrackers on Diwali night, who died during treatment on Tuesday.

On the night of Diwali, Kia was admitted to the hospital after being burnt by firecrackers, where she was undergoing treatment. On Diwali, the MP's daughter-in-law Richa went to her maternal home on Ponnappa Marg with her daughter Kiya. According to media in-charge of MP Abhishek Shukla, there were many children playing on the roof of the house. During this time someone burnt the firecracker, which badly injured Kia.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors reported up to 60 percent burns. Mayank, the MP's only son, was married in 2007. Kia was their only daughter.

It is known that just a few days ago, Rita Bahuguna Joshi's daughter-in-law Richa was found to have granddaughter Kia Corona positive. The trio was shifted from PGI Lucknow to Medanta Delhi, where PC Joshi, the MP's husband, was already an Admittee.

The MP had to be admitted to the ICU when his health deteriorated. On 15 September, she came out of the ICU and celebrated her husband's birthday in the hospital itself. He was discharged from the hospital on 21 September.

After that she was quarantined in Delhi residence. After recovering, Prayagraj came to celebrate Diwali that such a big accident happened.
