Earlier, Sonia Gandhi had offered to step down in a working committee meeting after writing an outspoken and open letter against the leadership of 23 Congress leaders. After much persuasion, she agreed to hold the post of interim president till the next election. Therefore, after the relaxation of the Corona rules, the party wants to call a meeting of the Working Committee and take a decision therein.
