The number 10 property was not put into auction due to technical reasons. There was some dispute over the marking of this property.
Total 17 properties auctioned
A total of 17 properties were auctioned on Tuesday under SAFEMA. According to Investigating Officer Munaf Syed, Dawood had a total of 13 properties in the Khed of Ratnagiri, of which 6 have been auctioned. The value of these properties was estimated at around 80 lakhs. Dawood's ancestral mansion in Ratnagiri was sold for only 11 lakh 2 thousand.
The properties auctioned included a piece of land in Mumbake village in Khed taluka. A bid of 1.38 lakh was made for this. Apart from this, a land and a two-storey bungalow built on it are also auctioned. For this, a base price of five lakh rupees was kept. A land taken in the name of a petrol pump has also been auctioned.
No property of Iqbal Mirchi was sold.
Iqbal Mirchi's Juhu bungalow could not be auctioned this time too. The bidder pulled out, citing a high price. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached 7 properties belonging to the family members of Dawood's aide Iqbal Mirchi last month. These include a cinema hall, a hotel, an under construction hotel, two bungalows and 3.5 acres of land in Panchgani. The value of the seized assets is said to be more than Rs 22 crore.
Dawood's 3 properties were auctioned 2 years ago.
In 2018, Dawood's Raunak Afroz Hotel, Dambar Wala Building and Shabnam Guest House in Nagpada were auctioned. Dawood's sister Hasina Parkar's flat was also auctioned thereafter.
