According to the commission's data, after four hours of counting, BJP candidate and former minister Kirti Singh Rana was leading over Limbdi by around 22 thousand votes. In Abdasa, Pradyuman Singh Jadeja of BJP is leading by about 16,000 votes.
BJP's Jeetu Chaudhary and Vijay Patel also led by over 14,000 votes over their Congress rivals in Kaprad and Dang respectively. In the Curzon seat, BJP candidate Akshay Patel was leading by 9,900 votes.
BJP's JV Kakadia is leading over Congress candidate by 5,500 votes from Dhari seat, while BJP candidate and former minister Atmaram Parmar is leading his Congress rival by 9,500 votes in Gadhara.
It is noteworthy that 60.75 percent polling was held in the by-election held on November 3. A total of 81 candidates are in the fray for these eight seats.
