After the attack on Gopikrishna Nema's residence, several leaders including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Organization Minister Suhas Bhagat discussed Mr. Nema and assured that the accused would be nabbed soon.
Gopikrishna Nema narrated the incident
Gopi Nema said that some guests had come to his house in the evening to wish him Diwali. They were sitting inside and talking. At the same time, when he came out of the room after hearing the commotion, he saw some crooks vandalizing the premises with swords, poles and rods. The miscreants broke the glass of the car with swords and vandalized the pots and other items kept there. Seeing the commotion, crowds of people started gathering, then the crooks ran away. Nema said that they do not know the miscreants. It has been reported that a person from Khajrana came to meet his house, crooks came in search of him.
On receiving the information, the Chhatripura police station reached the spot. Deputy Inspector General of Police Harinarayanachary Mishra said that senior officials have reached the spot and started investigating as soon as Nema's house received information about the attack by unidentified armed miscreants. Footage of CCTV cameras in the vicinity has been scrutinized to investigate the incident in the Mallaharganj area. He expressed confidence that the police would soon arrest the accused and disclose the case.
Thakur directed for strict action
Culture, Tourism A spirituality minister Usha Thakur expressed deep concern over the attack on the house of former city president Gopikrishna Nema. He said that such an incident is condemnable. Thakur, after discussing with DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra, has instructed to catch the miscreants as soon as possible and take strict action. After some time, BJP district president Gaurav Ranadive also arrived. BJP has lodged a protest regarding this incident. SP Mahesh Jain says that the miscreants are being identified. They will be caught soon.
Congress leaders also condemned the attack
Congress MLA Sanjay Shukla also condemned the attack. He said that the incident at the house of former BJP president Gopikrishna Nema was condemnable. He said that strict action should be taken against the attackers, so that such incidents do not recur.
Congress leader Narendra Saluja also condemned the attack.
