The market capitalization (M-Cap) of companies listed on the stock market crossed Rs 170 lakh crore on Tuesday. During this time there was a huge boom in the market. With this, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index crossed 44 thousand 160 for the first time. The market cap has increased by Rs 13 lakh crore in the last 11 trading days. In this, the market cap of HDFC Group companies increased significantly.
No increase in RIL and TCS
The 2 giants did not contribute to the growth of M-Cap. The market cap of the country's largest company Reliance Industries (RIL) stood at Rs 13.89 lakh crore on November 2, which decreased by 21 thousand crore to Rs 13.58 lakh crore on Tuesday. Whereas on 2 November, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had a market cap of Rs 9.99 lakh crore. It remained at the same level on Tuesday.
SBI's market cap crosses 2 lakh crore
The companies whose market cap has increased include the country's largest bank State Bank of India (SBI). For the first time in recent times, the market cap of SBI has crossed 2 lakh crores. Its market cap was 1.90 lakh crore on 2 November which is now 2.11 lakh crore. The market cap of HDFC bank was 6.57 lakh crores on 2 November, which has now increased to 7.72 lakh crores.
HDFC's market cap increased by 71 thousand crores
The market cap of HDFC has increased from 3.45 lakh crores to 4.16 lakh crores. Meanwhile, the market cap of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has increased to Rs 5.13 lakh crore from 4.86 lakh crore. The market cap of Bharti Airtel has increased from 2.36 to 2.65 lakh crore and the market cap of ICICI bank has increased from 3.10 to 3.33 lakh crore.
Kotak Mahindra Bank's M-Cap 3.50 lakh crore
Kotak Mahindra Bank's market cap has increased from 3.06 lakh crore to 3.50 lakh crore rupees. The market cap of Infosys has increased from 4.51 to 4.78 lakh crore rupees during the same period. Although the market cap of HCL tech has decreased, it is still at Rs 2.21 lakh crore. HDFC Asset Management (HDFC AMC) has a market cap of Rs 53 thousand crore due to the increase in shares. Navneet Munot has been declared its new MD on Monday itself. Its stock has seen a gain of over 2% on Tuesday.
Market Cap of A Group Companies Rs 146 Lakh Crore
According to BSE, on November 2, the market cap of A group companies was Rs 146.57 lakh crore. It rose to Rs 158.15 lakh crore on Tuesday. That is, it has increased by about 10 lakh crores. Whereas, the market cap of B group companies increased from Rs 8.49 lakh crore to 9.06 lakh crore. The total number of registered investors in the market has been 5.68 crore. It has grown by 1 million investors as compared to the previous month. It has 1.24 crore investors in Maharashtra and 7.5 lakh investors in Gujarat.
