At 10.30 am on Tuesday, Pakistan opened fire in Kireni, Kasba and Shahpur sectors of the district in violation of the ceasefire. The army deployed in the area also responded in the same order. Due to this, shelling continued from both sides for hours. The fury of the Pakistani army spread among the people as shelling damaged some houses.
Demand of people, bunkers should be built near homes
The people of the area say that the Pakistani army constantly targets our houses and shells. Crores of rupees have been sanctioned by the Central Government for the construction of bunkers in the areas bordering the Line of Control, but the bunkers have not yet been built in our area by the administration. Therefore we demand that private bunkers be constructed near our homes. Where we can save our lives and children by taking shelter.
Shells fired for seven hours on IB
The Pakistani Rangers fired around seven hours into the Hiranagar sector on the international border on Monday night. During this time, along with targeting the posts of BSF, attempts were also made to take residential areas in JD. Around ten o'clock in the night, 25 Chenab Rangers of Pakistan started firing from Bhike Chak, Karol Panga post which continued till five in the morning.
