Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ayurveda Institution in Gujarat and Rajasthan today at 10.30 am on the occasion of Ayurveda Day. He will inaugurate the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA) in Jamnagar, Gujarat and the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) in Jaipur via video conferencing.
Through these two institutes, the country hopes that we will play the role of global leadership in promoting Ayurveda in the 21st century. Since 2016, Ayurveda Day is being celebrated every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti. The government says that this year Ayurveda Day will focus on the important role of Ayurveda in controlling the corona.
