Master Meghwal (72), an MLA from Sujangarh, was admitted to a hospital in Gurgaon after a stroke in May this year. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has mourned the death of Meghwal, a five-time MLA. Gehlot tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the death of Ministerial Associate Master Bhanwar Lal. We were together since 1980.
President of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Dr. CP Joshi, Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and other leaders have also mourned the death of Meghwal.
The state government has announced one day state mourning on the death of Minister Meghwal on Tuesday. In view of this, the Congress has postponed the proposed 'body and panchayat election workshop' on Tuesday. State in-charge of the party Ajay Maken and Chief Minister Gehlot were also participating in this workshop.
Meghwal continued to represent the Sujangarh assembly of Churu district. He was ill since his stroke in May this year. Recently, his daughter Banarsi Devi died of a heart attack.
