Shahnawaz Hussain’s objection to the bungalow has exposed the reality of cleanliness campaign in Bihar capital Patna.
On 19 February, the building construction department allotted bungalows to 19 ministers of Bihar. 17 honorees including Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain got new bungalows and the bungalows of the two ministers were replaced. The next day, Saturday afternoon, Bhaskar got a video in which Shahnawaz is complaining about the bungalow allotted to him.
In the video, Shahnawaz is telling someone on the phone, ‘The house that was given next to Mangal Pandey, Akhilesh Wala old … He is very old. Pig is sitting next to him… there is Dom Colony… someone else…. ‘ Shahnawaz’s objection changed to his address in a few hours or till the evening of 20 February.
The previous minister did not like the bungalow on Taylor Road
Shahnawaz Hussain, former Union Minister and new Industries Minister of the Government of Bihar, was allotted Bungalow No. 3 of Taylor Road under Chitkohra Bridge. The bungalow used to house Vinod Kumar Singh, former minister of Bihar government. He was the Minister for Very Backward Welfare. He died from Corona in October last year. Akhilesh Singh has also lived in this residence. If he did not like this bungalow, then he demanded to change it.
Reality of sanitation campaign seen outside the bungalow
Bhaskar is not saying the objection of Shahnawaz right, but the reason for his trouble is clearly visible. A large number of Dalits live on the other side of the bungalow in Taylor Road under the Chittokhara Bridge. Bungalow number 4 next to it is the official residence of Health Minister Mangal Pandey. However, they do not live in it. Apart from animals, human feces are also visible on the bungalow number 4 and 3 on Taylor Road. Ducks and pigs are also seen moving.
Shahnawaz will now live in Ram Sundar Rai’s bungalow
Land and Revenue Minister Ram Sundar Rai got a bungalow at 12 Strand Road on 19 February. This bungalow was given to him on 20 February after Shahnawaz’s objection. At the same time, the bungalow which Shahnawaz did not like, has now been allotted to BJP MLA Nitin Naveen of Bankipur, who became a minister for the first time. Nitin has got a road construction department and is currently staying at the MLA residence of Bandar Bagicha.
