Flipkart’s electric fleet will include 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler and 4-wheeler vehicles designed and assembled in India. For this, Bangalore-based company Flipkart has partnered with companies such as Hero Electric, Hero Electric, Mahindra Electric and Piaggio.
The company has started deploying 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler electric vehicles for delivery across the country including Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Guwahati and Pune. Amazon India will deliver electric vehicles in 7 cities
At the same time, Amazon India and e-vehicle company Mahindra Electric announced a partnership on Tuesday. Under this, Amazon has included about 100 e-vehicles of Mahindra Electric in its delivery network in the country. According to a joint statement by the two companies, Mahindra’s nearly 100 Trio Thor e-vehicles have been included in Amazon’s delivery network in seven cities of the country. These cities are Bengaluru, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Indore and Lucknow.
It is noteworthy that Amazon had announced the inclusion of one lakh e-vehicles in its global delivery network by 2030 as part of an assurance about the environment. Under this, the company will include 10,000 e-vehicles in the delivery network in India by 2025. Accordingly, the company has made around 100 e-vehicles of Mahindra Electric a part of the delivery fleet.
