Dubai Airport Authority has started using the latest face recognition technology. Through this, identity of the passenger will be identified.
Passengers will now get relief from long lines for travel at Dubai Airport. The airport authority has started using the latest face recognition technology. Apart from this, identification of the passenger will also be done through the iris. Actually, identification will be accomplished only by the use of these two. According to the airport administration, it has decided to complete the entire process in biometric mode.
Biometric passenger journey
The project is named Biometric Passenger Journey. Airport Authority said – This program will give passengers the convenience. In the Kovid-19 round, contact free journeys were required. Passengers will no longer be in contact with airline staff. 122 smart gates have been built for this. It will only take 5 to 9 seconds at any gate.
Major General Mohammad Ahmed Al Myri, Director, Dubai Airport, said- We have started this process with the help of Emirates Administration and other partners. A smart tunnel has also been made. We are using future technology so that passengers do not have any problem at the airport. Currently, three thousand passengers are using this technology every day. However, the old method can also be used. It depends on the passengers which method they choose.
This will be a process
When the passenger arrives at Dubai International Airport, it will be identified at check in via face and iris recognition. This will happen only once and data will be collected for the future. After this, all the smart gates that he will pass, all the biometric technology data will match and the gates will be opened. However, it will be necessary to have a passport in pocket. There is no need to show boarding pass to go to business lounge, face recognition will open the gates and passenger will be able to reach here.
