The project focuses specifically on children who have a keen interest in mathematics, science, technology and engineering. This is the second major step of the government in the direction of reflecting the goal of making Jharkhand government schools a model school. The government believes that the project will not only give a new direction to the education of government schools, but for the students it will also be helpful in shaping their thinking. This lab will be for the students of all government schools in the respective blocks. After the positive result of the project, there is a plan to set up a stem lab in all the blocks of the state equally.
What is Stem Lab
STEM plays an important role in the education system. Through this system, science, technology and mathematics subjects are taught in an interesting way according to the students’ ability and interest. STEM Labs started in Ranchi can prove to be extremely beneficial for children in providing world class education. The traditional education system in India still focuses on books. However, in addition to books, it is also necessary to give children practical knowledge of the subject. This is what Stem Lab does. Under the STEM education system, the lab has been equipped with various specifications related to the subject taught in the curriculum of the schools. Pinhole camera, LED-based heart, eye model, ear model, infinity wall, various medium sound, solar system, hand pump, solar power system, hydro turbine, motor model, sensor setup, generator, newton’s laws of motion, bio Variety, various types of robots, projectors, tabs, interactive computing devices, etc. have been introduced so that they can help students to do something themselves and develop their thinking ability.
