On the basis of complaints of disturbances in the e-Mitra centers of Jodhpur and Luni, 23 officers of IT department conducted surprise inspection of 52 centers. Complaints were received to deposit electricity bill through another portal.
A complaint was received against these e-Mitra centers that people’s electricity bills were being submitted from here through another portal. The complaint was received by the center operators in the direction of commissions and personal benefits. Regarding surprise inspection simultaneously in Jodhpur and Luni, SLIT Bhati, Additional Director of DOIT said that more complaints were received from e-Mitra centers located in rural areas. On this basis, the department planned a big action together.
He said that 5-5 E-Mitra kiosks were surprise inspected by SDM Luni and Jodhpur. Complaints were found in this, such as e-friend not being geo-tagging, not posting a new rate list, not cooperating in investigation and working beyond the prescribed location. On this, while fines were levied from 13 e-Mitra centers, the licenses of 8 centers were suspended. He said that more complaints were being received from the subdivision areas.
