In view of the organization of Indian Sub Junior Women’s Hockey Competition, Jharkhand Hockey Association has set up a camp of 30 players for the Jharkhand team. These players are practicing in the SS Girls Hockey Center in Simdega. The practice of the players under coach Tarani Kumari’s supervision started from Friday.
Karanagudi village of Simdega district is famous for hockey. Half a dozen daughters of this village are playing hockey for the country. Anupriya Kumari, a player from the same village involved in the practice camp, says that she is working hard to get selected in the Jharkhand team. His goal ahead is to play for the country. Coach Tarani Kumari says that this is a big deal for Simdega. The effort is that the Jharkhand team should win this competition.
In view of organizing the competition, preparations have also started from the district administration. District Deputy Commissioner Sushant Gaurav held a meeting on Thursday evening and held discussions with local MLAs and people of the sports association.
