Diesel-petrol prices are continuously skyrocketing across the country. The Rajasthan Congress on Saturday took out a foot and tractor march to protest against the ever-increasing prices of diesel-petrol and agricultural laws. Congress leaders and activists have demonstrated outside the party office in Jaipur on Saturday. Congress leaders and activists were seen holding anti-government posters and banners in their hands.
Taking a dig at the Modi government, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said that all days of the week are expensive days, the day oil prices should not rise, the Bharatiya Janata Party should declare a good day. He tweeted, “The BJP government should rename that day of the week as’ Good Day ” on which the prices of diesel and petrol are not increased. Because due to inflation, the rest of the days are ‘expensive days’ for the common people. ”

Wrong economic policies of Modi government result in rising prices of petrol-diesel: Gehlot

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday targeted the Narendra Modi government at the Center over the rising price of petrol diesel and said on Saturday that it was a result of his wrong economic policies. Gehlot tweeted, ‘The common man is suffering from the prices of petrol and diesel. Prices have been increasing continuously for the last 11 days. This is the result of wrong economic policies of Modi government. Crude oil prices in the international market are currently half of the UPA government’s tenure, but petrol and diesel prices have reached an all-time high.
According to Gehlot, the Modi government imposes an excise duty of Rs 32.90 on petrol and Rs 31.80 per liter on diesel. Whereas during the UPA government in 2014 there was only Rs 9.20 on petrol and just Rs 3.46 on diesel. The Modi government should reduce excise duty in the interest of common people without any delay.

Congress leader PS Khachariwas said that any party, but the Prime Minister belongs to the country. Why can’t you repeal agricultural laws? First of all from the BJP, ended the subsidy on cooking gas, then increased the prices. On the other hand they are persecuting the farmers.

Petrol was costlier by 39 paise and diesel by 37 paise per liter in the capital Delhi on Saturday.
