New Delhi: The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully tested the indigenous missile. A short-range ground-to-air missile was successfully test-fired at the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha on Monday. This missile is called Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL-SRSAM). Let me tell you that the missile has destroyed its target in due time.
The answer to the sky attacks
Significantly, the short range surface-to-air missile (VL-SRSAM) is a fully indigenous missile. It has been built for the Indian Navy so that the Indian Navy can give a befitting reply to the sky attacks. This missile was tested for minimum and maximum range.
Will join Indian Navy in 2022
The short range surface-to-air missile (VL-SRSAM) will be inducted into the Indian Navy in 2022. Its operational range is 40 to 50 km. It has been built on the platform of the weapon missile. This missile will attack the enemy at a speed of 4.5 Mach i.e. 5556.6 km per hour. The missile also has weapon control system (WCS) which controls its co-weapon. It can strike many targets simultaneously.
Defense Minister congratulated
At the time of the test, the administration of Chandipur had evacuated 6322 people from five settlements around the launchpad. So that if there is any kind of accident, these local people will be safe. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO for this great success.
Will eliminate enemy at 360 degrees
8 missiles can be deployed simultaneously in this Swadesi missile vertical launch system to be deployed in Indian naval warships. Its weapon control system (WCS) can intercept enemy attacks at 360 degrees. Can destroy them as well. That is, where this missile will be deployed, it will be impossible to attack.
